After some participants of two main political parties – New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) – clashed last Sunday, Shatta Wale who is a Dancehall artiste counseled Ghanaians to desist from violent activities towards the upcoming 2020 elections.
During his conversation with Andy Dosty, host of the show Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM,
Shatta Wale stated that it will be more useful for the citizens of Ghana to strive for themselves and their communities with the aid of voting for proper leaders.
“I don’t know why someone will go and fight for a politician…when you know that when he comes to power he won’t come to your area again till another election,” he said.
In numerous video clips broadly shared on social media platforms, the supporters of the two foremost parties have been sighted throwing bottles as well as stones and also insulting each other.
Shatta Wale giving a comment about the issue, said that this is the moment citizens of the country should put their energies into evaluating political aspirants rather than struggling with eachother.
“If you prefer to fight, fight for yourself through voting. Just use your thumb and vote because that is your power. But if you combat any person and end up in prison don’t blame anyone,” he stated.
He said by doing this, it will assist them pick the appropriate leader who can effectively change their lives with better policies.
