James Lutterodt, Francisca Lamini and Bright Senyo Gadzo were the contestants from Keta SHTS that brought light to Volta Region as they made it to the finals.
They were the first Volta Region school known to have gone to the finals since the birth of the National Science and Maths Quiz.
But what caught people’s attention more was the huge participation by Francisca Lamini who is also the first female in eight years to make it that far in the competition.
This have made Francisca won the hearts of many and also won herself free trip to Dubai which he rejected and pleaded for her colleagues to be given the same treatment. Because this achievement was possible due to collective efforts from all the contestants.
The wish of Francisca has been granted as her other two colleagues have been given the opportunity to travel to Dubai together.
Vivian Kai Lokko who is a journalist took to her twitter page to confirmed the news when she indicated that the brilliant students of Ketasco successfully got their passports to visit the United Arab Emirates.
“Thank you to the Director of Passports at the @GhanaMFA Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr Louis Obeng, for making it possible for the brilliant students of Ketaso to get passports to visit Dubai,” she said and added a picture to validate the story.
