This year’s elections is fast approaching and respective political parties have showed up to be ready for the task ahead.
Despite the raise of fees in the Presidential candidate forms, this has not been a blockage to hinder the candidates from filing for nominations.
On Friday, October 9, 2020 Jean Mensah (EC chair) communicated to the public that a total number of 17 Ghanaians have submitted their nomination forms to the Electoral Commission to be reviewed and be handed the go ahead to stand for the Presidency on 7th December 2020.
Every hopeful presidential candidate paid a sum of GH¢100,000 filing fee. Though there was a protest to reduce the fee sometime back when it was announced by the Electoral Commission.
